Our Story/The Restaurant:
Driven by our passion to design inventive menus with microseasonal produce at the heart of every dish, we opened the Chef’s Table restaurant in Chester in 2014. Our desire was to create a small, locally owned and owner-managed restaurant where the menu constantly evolved to reflect changes in the growing seasons. Five years on, and with a great following, some amazing accolades that we are very proud of, a story of experiences and lessons learnt, we’re still pushing our own creative boundaries with every new menu- applying a diversity of traditional and contemporary culinary techniques to uniquely interpret the challenges and triumphs of every growing season. We believe in the power of fresh, seasonal and sustainable produce and work extremely closely with our suppliers to ensure the highest quality of every ingredient on your plate.
Not wanting to lose site of our original vision or compromise the integrity of our small restaurant, we have long resisted decisions to expand- but after organising several collaborative pop ups and culinary events throughout Cheshire over the years, we were hungry for the possibility that catering afforded us. Our decision to step beyond the doors of the restaurant and open Chef’s Table Events provided the perfect solution- maintaining the intimacy of our restaurant while allowing our creativity to expand beyond its doors.
Our approach to Chef’s Table Events is the same as our restaurant- we believe in intimate, personable dining experiences and the power of fresh, seasonal produce. We treat every event as an individual experience and work with you to create an entirely unique menu for your event. We’re just as keen to cater your dinner party of 12 as your wedding breakfast of 200 or a corporate event and can help you create a special themed menu to celebrate a particularly special occasion.
