Michelin-starred chef and TV personality Tom Kerridge’s food festival, Pub in the Park 2018, has released its amazing line-up of the best culinary and music talent that the UK has to offer – including Jamie Cullum, Mel C, Razorlight, Billy Ocean, Tom Odell and Sophie Ellis-Bextor taking to the stage, and superstar chefs Josh Eggleton, Paul Ainsworth and Tom himself cooking up a storm.
Texas, Will Young and KT Tunstall will also be playing at the festivals, and other exciting chef appearances include GBBO winner Candice Brown and Stephen Harris of The Sportsman, which was just named the UK’s best pub in the Top 50 Gastropubs Awards.
The first ever Pub in the Park festival took place in the beautiful town of Marlow in May 2017. Headed up by Tom, and with a stellar line up of chefs, pubs and chart-topping music, the festival sold all 18,000 tickets within 24 hours. Building on the sell-out success of 2017, next year will see the man himself Tom Kerridge take Pub in the Park on tour around the UK.
Tom and his fellow chef mates will be visiting four English towns across the country, bringing his Michelin-starred pubs, plus a selection of other top UK pubs and restaurants to serve their most popular dishes. Every event will celebrate the very best food the country has to offer, combined with great live music, chef demonstrations, top quality shopping and other festival fun. On top of the national chef and music names, each event will celebrate the local community in the form of brilliant local artisans, pubs, local foodie heroes and musicians.
Pubs and restaurants confirmed for Pub in the Park Marlow include two Michelin-starred The Hand & Flowers and The Coach (Tom Kerridge), Pony & Trap (Josh Eggleton) and Paul Ainsworth at No 6 (Paul Ainsworth), all of which hold Michelin stars. Joining them will be National Restaurant Award-winner The Hardwick (Stephen Terry), multi-Rosette winner Sindhu (Atul Kochhar) and the deluxe re-imagining of the Great British pub, The Wigmore (Chris King). The Star Inn (Andrew Pern) an award-winning gastropub that champions local, seasonal ingredients as well as Berners Tavern, the highly decorated and celebrated London gem under the direction of Michelin-starred Jason Atherton, and Heston Blumenthal’s highly acclaimed gastropub The Crown at Bray (Matt Larcombe) will all appear.
Pub in the Park Marlow sees headliners such as the UK’s most successful jazz artist ever, Jamie Cullum, indie-rockers Razorlight, Will Young, Texas, former Spice Girl Mel C, and KT Tunstall. In the afternoons, Roland Gift and Soul II Soul Sound System will be entertaining the crowds.
Pub in the Park Tunbridge Wells is delighted to welcome the Tanner brothers with the award-winning Kentish Hare, and The Sportsman (Stephen Harris), which recently made the top 50 list in the 2017 Good Food Guide. Among the stellar line up in Tunbridge Wells includes The Wife of Bath (Mark Sargeant) serving up spectacular Northern Spanish inspired dishes, multi-award winning and Michelin-recommended The Compasses Inn (Rob Taylor), alongside two Michelin-starred Atul Kochhar with his restaurant Indian Essense and much-loved Michelin-starred and TV Chef Angela Hartnett MBE.
Headlining at Pub in the Park Tunbridge Wells is folk-pop singer Tom Odell, Razorlight, R&B legend Billy Ocean, pop queen Sophie Ellis-Bexter, Mel C, and Scouting for Girls. The afternoon crowds will be played to by Toploader and The Christians.
Michelin-starred Angela Hartnett MBE will be bringing Café Murano to Pub in the Park Bath, alongside a host of award-winning establishments such as The Star Inn (Andrew Pern) acclaimed for its traditional atmosphere and great ales, The Kingham Plough (Emily Watkins) known for its happy balance between a ‘proper’ pub and an exceptional dining room, and Spanish tapas restaurant Paco Tapas under the direction of Michelin-starred chef Peter Sanchez-Iglesias.
Pub in the Park Knutsford will also showcase The Star Inn (Andrew Pern) and Angela Hartnett’s Café Murano as well as Michelin-starred and multi award winning family-run The Pipe and Glass (James Mackenzie) and country tavern The Church Inn, which holds multiple accolades including Winner of ‘Best Food Offering in the UK’ 2017/18 and Finalist of ‘Best Pub Company in the UK’ 2017/18 at the Publican Awards, to name but a few.
Music headlines at Pub in the Park Bath and Pub in the Park Knutsford include Tom Odell, Razorlight, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Mel C, Toploader, and indie-rock band The Rifles.
