Visitors to Cheshire will be enthralled again this year by the woodland theatre of Blakemere's Christmas Woodland, which is ran and organised by Cheshire Productions Limited.
This fantastic day out is set in real Cheshire woodland at Blakemere Village in Sandiway. Visitors embark on a magical journey on weekends in December in search of Father Christmas himself; the highlight of their day is to find Father Christmas in his hidden woodland Sorting Office. Who will they encounter along the way on their journey through the woods, what characters will they find?
Plus, there's many more activities to enjoy including skating on an outdoor synthetic rink accompanied by one of Father Christmas's cheeky elves, small fairground rides for the whole family and don't forget to meet Snowy the Owl and his friends. Mrs Claus also has a special treat for everyone - she needs help in her workshop to make magic wooden Wish Trees.
Ginny White, one of the directors who run this fantastic festive family event, explains the inspiration behind Blakemere's Christmas Woodland; "We wanted to offer an amazing, traditional, festive treat for all the family to enjoy. To get the whole family outside in a real woodland, where children can enjoy the winter weather and watch the live theatre performances where we create a magical world full of wonderful entertaining characters. There's nothing plastic or artificial about our event, it's rustic and traditional and we t4ry to capture the true essence and magic of Christmas"
"Ticket sales are up on last year already and we haven't really started promoting this year's event" explains Steve Birchall, Co-Director. "We have also launched two types of tickets this year, a basic ticket for just the woodland theatre and an all-inclusive ticket which also includes Mrs Claus's Workshop, skating on the outdoor rink, all the fairground rides, meeting Snowy the Owl and gifts for everyone!"
Tim Gerrard, also Co-Director of Cheshire Productions Limited, stated "We anticipate exceeding last year's visitor numbers by nearly 40%, as tickets were in high demand for last year's event. The woodland theatre runs every 20 minutes on a rolling basis for groups of no more than 50 people, so you can all really enjoy and feel part of this unique experience".
Your day can also include shopping in the 30 shops on Blakemere, a visit to the garden centre for a tree and decorations, fun in the indoor play barn or craft activities such as painting pottery or candle dipping. Enjoy breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea in The Village Restaurant or a Buffet Breakfast and their famous Carvery on Sundays.
Tickets available from £19.95 per person and all inclusive tickets for £27.50 per person. For more information and details about this fantastic event in the heart of Cheshire, or to book tickets, visit: www.christmaswoodland.co.uk
