This May half term Tatton Park is hosting a range of exciting activities for families that are all a little bit different!
From free family friendly events to the thrill and exhilaration of out-of-bounds cycling, there’s something for everyone. Tatton is open every day of the week offering a great value family day out. For just £40 for a Family of 5* visitors can spend a full day having fun in the Gardens, meeting the rare breed animals and characters at the Farm, burning off some energy in the Parkland and stepping back in time at the Mansion. Come rain or shine there’s plenty to keep the whole family entertained throughout the day.
Tuesday 29 May – A Soldier’s Story: Tatton Remembers
To commemorate 100 years since the end of World War One, this free unique family event brings real wartime stories to life in an engaging and inspiring way. Hear remarkable true stories from a local soldier, get in line with Tatton’s Recruitment Sergeant as he puts you through your paces, experience immersive drama and see original wartime artefacts.
Wednesday 30 May – Cycling Boredom Busters
An exhilarating morning ride through ‘out-of-bounds’ farmland and woodland trails, led by friendly and experienced rangers. Suitable for children aged 8+
Wednesday 30 May – Crime and Punishment
Children with curious minds can play detective and put their sleuthing skills to the test in this special crime and punishment event. They’ll be enthralled as they become part of the jury in the trial of fearsome historical criminals…and if found guilty, they can choose the gruesome punishment for these notorious characters! Suitable for children aged 7-11.
Thursday 31 May – Preparing for the Teddy Picnic
A fantastic educational opportunity that brings to the life the journey of food from ‘field to fork’ in a fun, interactive way. Children can bring along their favourite teddy and explore Tatton Park’s Farmyard discovering where different picnic ingredients come from. The grand finale is the chance to enjoy your teddy bear picnic feast in our teddy’s woodland camp. Suitable for children aged 3-5.
Saturday 2 & Sunday 3 June – Tatton Park Classic Car Spectacular
Round off a fun-filled half-term week with the Tatton Park Classic Car Spectacular – one of Britain’s best and most popular car shows. With over 2,000 classic and performance cars on display including Jaguar, Lotus, Triumph and all the classics of yesteryear, it’s a great family event not to be missed. And under 10’s gain free entry!
