The historic Legh Arms pub in Prestbury, Cheshire, has reopened its doors following a substantial investment by Robinsons Family Brewery.
The pub, which has been owned by Robinsons since 1939 and dates back to 1423, has been given a sympathetic refurbishment that celebrates the pub’s past whilst planting one foot firmly into the future.
The Legh Arms is the 21st pub to join Robinson’s managed pub estate. Their managed pubs include the award-winning Queens Head in Troutbeck alongside with the brewer’s recent acquisition of Individual Inns and their 6 sites across Cumbria and Yorkshire.
The new-look pub will continue to serve a rotating range of cask ales along with a premium selection of world lagers, wines and spirits.
The Legh Arms, which is renowned in the area for its food, will continue to offer a varied and wide menu that champions seasonal produce to create the freshest dishes to correspond with the changing of the seasons.
Upstairs, the pub’s 12 newly-refurbished bedrooms offer guests the perfect place to rest their head after a busy day of exploring the vast beauty of Cheshire and the surrounding areas.
William Robinson, Managing Director (Pubs Division) of Robinsons Brewery said: “The Legh Arms continues the exciting expansion of our managed pub estate It joins the nine other properties we have added to our managed estate in 2019. Including the six Individual Inns pubs, the George III in Penmaenpool, the Alvanley Arms in Cotebrook and the Seacroft in Treaddur Bay. We know that the new-look pub will continue to serve Prestbury and beyond for many years to come.”
The Legh Arms continues Robinsons’ track record of investing in pub refurbishments. Since 2015, the Cheshire family brewer has spent £26.7m on 127 refurbishments across their estate of 260-strong pubs across the North West, Wales and Cumbria.
